Delphinium Dragon Giclee Print

Description

One of my ‘Dragonflies’ Series, this one with a delphinium flower, in giclee print form. This was painted in watercolors with prismacolor pencil details.

I went with a soft blue delphinium bloom, contrasted with the bright green on the stems and leaves. The delphinium dragon works more like a cross between a hummingbird and a bee, collecting bits of pollen on parts of its scales which it then brings to other flowers as it collects nectar from them which it feeds on.
