How do I get the student discount?
1- Make an account on Vivia Print.
2- Visit this page: viviaprint.com/my-account/student-verification and enter your .edu student email to get a verification email
3- Open the email and click “Verify Student Email”.
4- Once your email is verified, the student discount will automatically apply to your purchases.
* Please note that you must verify your student email every 60 days.
How fast can I get my prints?
Turnaround time for same day printing is usually a few hours during our store hours.
If you’re in a hurry, you can order the Automated Fast Printing on Enhanced Matte Paper which don’t have to wait for trimming and can be picked up as soon as they’re finished printing. You can trim them yourself at the store if needed.
If you’d like to have your prints trimmed, you can order the Print on Enhanced Matte Paper or Print on Premium Luster Paper and we will cut them to size for you.
Turnaround time for Mounted Prints is usually 24 to 48 hours.
How do I resize and format my file and change the print size?
Please follow the steps here to set the print size correctly. This method allows you to upload your files as “Print ready files” which is the best for fine art printing.
If you need help resizing your files, please email us your files and details and request to resize them.
Do I need to add bleed and trim marks to my file?
No. You don’t need to add any bleed or trim marks for poster printing. Our software does that automatically.
Please note that if you add trim marks to your files, we will not cut your poster based on those marks. Our CNC cutter automatically cuts the posters to match the print size you submitted.
Do you offer double-sided laser prints, books, business cards, etc?
No. We currently only offer inkjet printing and do not offer double-sided printing, books, or business cards.
Should I put my files on one big page or in separate files?
Please save each page as its own file, or as separate pages in one file so we can cut them to the exact page size.
You don’t have to place separate orders for separate files. You can upload all your files at once and place an order that includes multiple prints.
What color mode and profile do I select? RGB or CMYK?
For inkjet fine art printing, we use RGB mode with color profile Adobe RGB 1998. You can learn how to change the color mode and profile here.
Our Epson Inkjet Fine Art Printers use up to 12 colors to produce the widest color gamut. We convert all the files to Adobe RGB 1998 and send the RGB files directly to the printer for the best outcome.
What happens if I don't use the Adobe RGB 1998 color profile?
For inkjet fine art printing, we use RGB mode with color profile Adobe RGB 1998. Using any other color profiles may result in color shifts. You can learn how to change the color mode and profile here.
The best way to get a close color match is to set the correct color profile, calibrate your monitor using an external calibration tool and place a small test order to see if the colors need to be adjusted to your liking.
Can I bring in my own paper?
No, we’re not able to print on any custom papers.
